I've always been a big fan of all three of these ingredients, especially barbecue chicken. Yum. Love the energetics you explain in this. Food is the real gold, that and water! They are drugs of a sort, you can feel the goodness, or the grimness, depending on what you choose. I cook every night. Last night we had some wild chanterelles I got in the santa monica mountains, with garlic, butter, white wine and some rice. i also made a lavash "quesadilla" with white onion and a parsley salad with ojai lemon juice, olive oil and a little parmesan. delicious. i have recently changed my eating schedule after reading a terribly racist book from the 1930's called Be Thy Own Doctor. It has some great info but is wildly ignorant in terms of knowledge of human beings and history. It said, to keep your system, digestive mainly, clean and functioning properly to eat a substantial real food breakfast, some lunch, and then an early light dinner. Before I was not eating much in the day and one kind of big dinner a little late. I can't tell you how much better my system is functioning due to this. Immediately dropped some pounds and never feel bloated or that I haven't gotten everything out. Clean and clear. Pretty wild. I'm hooked. My body likes it. I've been a longtime fan of the Seminoles. Beautiful people from a beautiful place and never gave in!!! Ever since I was a little kid the only thing I wanted to be was an Indian! My interest in the tribes and peoples of the past has led me to a life of natural wonder and exploration. I love to hunt, fish, forage for wild foods, medicine. I brain tan deer hides, sell friction fire kits, totally natural ones that I get from the wilds, my wife and I make stone, bone and shell jewelry, I frequently find artifacts, never digging, just walking, and continually find peace and solace knowing there many people in this realm who followed The Way. Some still do. The animals and all the rest still do. It will never die. Right now I'm reading Theodora Kroeber's interpretation of Ishi's story, Ishi: Last of His Tribe. It's an amazing beautiful account of a true story. It's been re-instilling my belief in all good after this absurd last twenty-plus years. I always know, but man it gets thick down here. I'll include a link to our work. Great post. thenaturalfreehumanbeings.com
